I decided to change a main characters name. It still amazes me that after ten read throughs I'm still finding minor punctuation errors. At least it's gone from several per chapter to one every other chapter. It's still to many though. I'm planning on a Feb. 20th release.

One of the trends I've resisted in my books that is purported to help sell, is the use of profanity, nudity, and/or gratuitous sex. I believe a good, interesting and believable story can be told without these items. I feel they add nothing to the story and can detract from it.
Often watching recently made films, I frankly find it distracting to hear the f... word come out regularly. I started working in construction when I was 14 and amazed at how many people couldn't seem to form a sentence without that adjective. In fact, that one word was used as a noun, adjective, verb, adverb and pronoun and exclamation of surprise, happiness, pain and despair.
Maybe that's one of the reasons I prefer reading a story than watching one.

I've written three other books. They were not novels but actually concerning real estate.
"That Woman" is my first novel and I plan to write a new one every 3-6 months. I'm currently in my tenth proofread of the material and still fine tuning and tweaking it to get it the way I want it to be. I hope you'll enjoy reading me as much as I've enjoyed writing for you.

This is my first novel. "That Woman" was written during National Write a Novel in a Month (NaNoWriMo) this past November (2013) The point of the contest is to take any outline one has had for however long and to write a rough draft of it during the month of November. 50,000 words are expected for a minimum so it's not as bad as it seems. With outline in hand, 500 words an hour is not hard or unusual. Finding 3-4 hours a day to just write is the hard part.

The Bryan Draper Mysteries

This is the first in a series of blogs concerning the series of books featuring Bryan Draper.
The "Bryan Draper Mysteries" concern the adventures of a criminal defense attorney, Bryan Draper and his brother(adopted) Hank Truman. Hank is one of the top private detectives in the world. Both Bryan and Hank are also masters of Aikido. Aikido is a self defense system that incorporates locks, holds, and manuevers that neutralize an opponent's attack. There is no attack in Aikido in the sense that no kicks or fist-type blows are used. It is pure defense.
In each novel, there is a murder committed. Bryan and Hank work to solve the mystery. The reader may or may not be able to figure "who-done-it" based on the information given. The reader will have all the information that Bryan has as the novel continues and it will be evident and logical who the actual killer is before the killer is actually revealed in the story.
